West Mercia Police are appealing for information about a young boy who is thought to have been abducted in Worcestershire.
A boy, said to be about nine, was seen with a man who is aged between 45 and 50, in Treddington Close, Woodrow, Redditch, at about 1915 BST.
Police have released the details under the newly-launched Child Rescue Alert System to alert the public.
Anyone with information should ring police on 08457-444888 or call 999.
The boy is described as being white, about 4ft tall, with cropped brown hair and dark eyes, possibly brown.
He was wearing a blue T-shirt and dark blue silky tracksuit bottoms.
The man is described as having white-grey hair, a bald patch and a tanned complexion with black scruffy clothes.
He was driving a red Vauxhall Astra-type car.
The Child Rescue Alert System is used in the US. Police said they hope it will enable the public to be the "eyes and ears for us in the community."
