West Mercia Police are appealing for information about a young boy who is thought to have been abducted in Worcestershire.

A boy, said to be about nine, was seen with a man who is aged between 45 and 50, in Treddington Close, Woodrow, Redditch, at about 1915 BST.

Police have released the details under the newly-launched Child Rescue Alert System to alert the public.

Anyone with information should ring police on 08457-444888 or call 999.

The boy is described as being white, about 4ft tall, with cropped brown hair and dark eyes, possibly brown.

He was wearing a blue T-shirt and dark blue silky tracksuit bottoms.

The man is described as having white-grey hair, a bald patch and a tanned complexion with black scruffy clothes.

He was driving a red Vauxhall Astra-type car.

The Child Rescue Alert System is used in the US. Police said they hope it will enable the public to be the "eyes and ears for us in the community."

The Corry Station of the Pennsylvania State Police is searching for two children who were taken on June 22nd, 2007 from 22410 Little Cooley Road, Union City, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. The suspect Darrell Stull disappeared with the children when being served with a court order of protection by the local police department.
The Crawford County sheriff served the suspect with an Order of Protection on Friday 01/22/07 at his home on Little Cooley Road in Lincolnville, by Union City. He told officers the children were at another house. When police went to get the children, they weren't there. The suspect is armed with a handgun.

A Middle Tennessee Regional AMBER Alert has been issued by the Lebanon Police Department for Reginald "Jamari" Smart. Reginald "Jamari" Smart was last seen wearing a tee shirt, diaper, and black sandals. "Jamari" was last seen on Thursday, June 21, 2007 with Larry E. Moore, a 39 year old black male. The suspect was last seen driving a black 1999 Mercury Mountaineer with Tennessee License Plate 728QLH. The vehicle was recovered around 5pm in the Trinity Lane/Brick Church Pike area in Nashville. Two black males exited the vehicle and fled the area on foot. The child was not seen with the fleeing suspects or in the abandoned vehicle.
